Fighting Satan, the Enemy
Every soldier knows that before they go into battle they learn about the enemy. In this Christian walk we all know that Satan and his army are the enemy. They know us all to well but if we don’t know anything about them we can’t fight back. Satan has a lot of us bound and we don’t even realize it. He has been where you’re trying to go (Heaven), he knows the Word better than you, he’s been here since the beginning of time so he knows every trick of the trade (all he had to do was make Adam and Eve question what God had commanded), and he has every tool on this planet available for him to use to bind you and keep you bound so that your fate will be the same as his.
Anything that you give more time and attention to than God is your god. It could be television, your children, drugs, sex…anything. Satan knows this and he’ll keep feeding you whatever you like to keep you bound. Remember, the Bible refers to him as the “god of this world” (2 Cor 4:4), and everything in it is his (he offered it to Jesus if Jesus would bow to him). That’s why the Bible always tells us to not be attached to anything in this world because these things down here will bind you and send you right to hell with Satan.
With all that being said, we still can have victory over Satan and his army of demons. Through repentance, fasting, prayer, and reading the Word, we can learn how to fight him properly and effectively. Not by our power, but through the power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. Jesus was just a man before He got filled with the Holy Ghost and once he was filled, that’s when Satan tried to attack Him. So it’s the same for us. Repent, get saved, get full of the Holy Ghost and get in the fight! God is looking for a few good men and women who aren’t afraid to stand and fight. Will you answer the call?
